INJECTABLE SUSPENSION – LONG ACTING (LA)

TREATMENT OF RESPIRATORY DISEASES – MASTITIS

 INGREDIENTS:

Ceftiofur HCl………………………………………….. 5 g

Ketoprofen……………………………………………. 10 g

Excipient qs ……………………………………… 100 ml

INDICATIONS:

For all the infections caused by microorganism sensitive to ceftiofur together with inflammatory reaction. For the treatment of acute and chronic laminitis, acute infectiousmastitis and respiratory disease, such as: pneumonia, pasteurellosis, CRD, metritis, mastitis, inflamed hooves, salmonellosis.

 DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

• General dose: 1 ml/ 25 kg body weight/ day.
• Intramuscular injection for 3 – 5 consecutive days.

Or can be used at doses as follows:

• General dose: 1 ml/ 15 – 18 kg body weight.
• Intramuscular (IM) injection with a single dose, repeat after 48 hours (if needed).

Note:

• Shake well the suspension before use.
• Small animal: do not over 5 ml injection at one injection site.
• Big animal: do not over 10 ml injection at one injection site.

Withdrawal period:

• For meat: 04 days.
• For milk: 0 day.

Ceftiofur has a wide spectrum of activity against both Gram (+) and Gram (-) bacteria. It is used in the treament and control of the following symptoms: asthma, CRD, pneumonia, mastitis in dairy cows, skin infections in cat and dog, treatment of secondary infections of PRRS. Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAIA) with analgesic and antipyretic properties.
