INJECTABLE SOLUTION

DIURETIC WITH ANTI – INFLAMMATORY AND ANTI – OEDEMA PROPERTIES

INGREDIENTS: In 1 ml contains:

Hydrochlorothiazide ……….50 mg

Dexamethasone sodium phosphate………..500 mcg

INDICATIONS:

– Prevention and treatment of diseases: rickets, anemia, retarded growth, loss of appetite, poor digestion.

– Enhancing growth of animals, helps the process of blood formation in body.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

– Do not use in pregnant animals.

– Do not use in animals with diabetes mellitus, congestive heart failure, chronic nephritis, osteoporosis or glaucoma.

– Do not use in animals with hepatic encephalophathy.

– Do not use in cases of severe hypokalemia.

– Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.

SIDE EFFECTS:

– In the case of short term therapy: polyuria, polydipsia, euphoria, ataxia, disorientation, aggressiveness, risks of urinary, skin or pulmonary infectious complications, gastro-intestinal ulceration or decrease of the hypophyseal ACTH response may occur.

– However, it is not necessary to use a special protocol such as progressive diminution of doses, if the treatment lasts less than 15 days.

– Use of corticosteroids in horses has been reported to induce laminitis. Therefore, horses treated with such preparations should be monitored frequently during the treatment period.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR USE:

For intramuscular injection:

– Cattle, horses: 8 – 16 ml/ head

– Sheep, goat: 2 – 4 ml/ head

– Poultry: 0.5 – 1 ml/ head

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

• Meat and offal: 3 days.
• Milk: 4 milkings (2 days).
