INJECTABLE SOLUTION

TREATMENT OF BLOOD PARASITIC INFECTION

 INGREDIENTS:

Diminazene aceturate…….….. 70 mg

Phenazone (Antipyrine)………100 mg

Excipient qs……………………………1 ml

 INDICATIONS:

For the treatment and prophylaxis of Trypanosomiasis, Babesiosis, Theileriosis, Pyrexia of unknown origin, mixed haemoprotozoan infections.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Deep intramuscular injection.

General dosage for cattle, horse, goat, sheep:

• Babesiosis and Trypanosomiasis: 1 – 2 ml/ 20 kg body weight.
• Tenacious Trypanosomiasis: 1 ml/ 10 kg body weight.
• Theileriosis and mixed infections: 1 – 2 ml/ 20 kg body weight.

Total dose should not exceed 56 ml/head.

Prevention: Use ½ of the dose listed above. Should be injected in April and September each year to prevent disease.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

• For meat: 20 days.
• For milk: 03 days.

STORAGE: Store in shade and dry place, temperature below 30^oC
